Theme Lead DCS: Anthony May, Nottinghamshire

The JRIEP leadership aim is to develop a workforce for children and young people that routinely improves outcomes and is able to take forward Children's Trust arrangements. The work described here is linked to the Children's Services Succession Planning work underway in the region.

The aim above is being promoted in this initial period by creating and delivering a programme for existing leaders across the children's workforce that develops advanced leadership within an integrated children's service environment (ALICSE)

ALICSE is a high quality leadership programme with a distinctive regional dimension. It is for colleagues who are ambitious to improve their leadership capability beyond the scope of existing leadership programmes.

It has been designed to follow after profession-specific leadership programmes but comes before executive leadership programmes such as the Aspirant DCS programme. It is delivered jointly with local universities and leads to credit at Masters level.
